Yoga Poses With Names

Mountain Pose

The mountain pose is the foundation for many of the other poses. This is done by standing up nice and tall. Your palms will be facing forward and your arms will be at your sides. Your feet are flat on the floor and the tailbone is tucked inwards.

Tree Pose

Chair Pose

Bend your knees and lower your body towards the floor, while keeping your back straight. Your legs should be bent to the point that you look like you are sitting in a chair. You can looking downwards or keep looking straight ahead.

Cobra Pose

The cobra pose is an awesome way to relax your upper body. Start by lying on your stomach. Place your hands onto the floor by your breastbone and then press down to lift you upper body off the ground. This can be done as little or as much as you’re comfortable with.

Child’s Pose

The Child’s Pose is the perfect way to relax after a tough yoga session. You will start by kneeling on the ground and then leaning forwards to touch your forehead to the ground. You can either have your arms next to your body or you can stretch them out in front of you. This pose helps to relax your back and release any tension.
