Yoga Poses Lying On Back

It’s always a good time to give your body some extra pampering and detoxing. That’s where yoga comes in. Yoga is a great way to reduce tension and stress, detox your body and get the energy flowing. There are many different poses to use for detoxing, which will help you to increase your circulation, flush toxins, and ultimately give your body a fresh start.

Supine Twist

The Supine Twist is a great pose for detoxing as it helps to increase the circulation and release any toxins that have built up in your body. This pose should start with you lying on your back with your knees bent, feet flat on the floor. Make sure your arms are relaxed with your palms facing up. Then, slowly twist your body to one side, reaching the opposite arm to the bent knee. One you’ve reached your maximum twist, hold the pose for a few breaths. Finally, switch sides and repeat the pose on the opposite side.

Fish Pose

The Fish Pose is a fabulous pose for detoxing your body. It starts by lying on your back with your hands flat on the floor. This will help to open up the chest and increase circulation in the torso. Then, gently lift your spine and bring your elbows closer to your chest. Once you’ve lifted your torso, keep your head and back in a straight line and remain in this pose for a few breaths. If you’d like to deepen the stretch in your chest, you can reach your hands towards the ceiling.

Wind Relieving Pose

The Wind Relieving Pose is an excellent pose for detoxing as it helps to keep the digestive system functioning properly. The pose starts by you laying on your back with your legs extended and feet together. Then, slowly bring one bent leg to your chest, keeping the other leg extended. Place your arms out to the sides and keep your back pressed into the floor. If you feel comfortable in this position, you can then bring the other leg up beside the bent one. Finally, switch legs and repeat the pose on the other side.

These are just a few of the poses you can use to detox your body through yoga. Adding these poses to your regular practice can help you to keep your body functioning at its best and strengthen your overall health.
